Raw footage 1
Explantaion:
This is the raw footage I filmed earlier. Looking back at the footage it is clear that there a plethora of problems with the footage - some shots are out of focus, the props look unrealistic, the narrative doesn't translate well and therefore won't be successful.

Initial Footage
Below I have posted the footage I intially filmed to see how my ideas translate onto film. One advantage of this was that it allowed me to change any errors I saw.

Overview of blog and footage
I feel that my initial footage acted as a tester to see if the direction of the video was going good. In hindsight I think that my vision did not translate well on screen and that it did not look as professional as it does. My plan for my music video now is to tone the theatrics of it so that audiences are still able to identify with the protagonist of the music video.
LOCATIONS I AM PLANNING TO USE:
Ruislip Lido
MAKE UP TUTORIAL:
This is what I want my model's makeup to look like. I don't want the makeup overpower her face.

Initial planning ideas
I am now in the planning stage of the music video process. My initial thoughts are that I want it to be very dramatic and symbolic in terms of the shots and lighting, costume and other mise en scene aspects. This is because I feel this is what goes best with the tone of the song. I plan to film the music video in an open space like Hyde Park where the symbolic shots become more effective. I also want my video subject to be ideally female and have the indie/ bohemian edge that my audience will connect to. I am aware that the production values and resources that I have are not as strong as that of a professional directing company, yet I believe that the artistic vision is strong enough to be seen through.
